This week our kids go back to school. They will now spend the next 180 days, seven hours a day, learning about the world and preparing them for a job. This is a season to be reminded of the importance of study. Have you studied the word of God as much as studying for a high school test? Moses, the Prophets, and King David yearned for the day to have access to the teachings of the Messiah. You are a disciple, you are a son or daughter, we are called to study our Father’s word.
This Sunday let us look at the beginning of Jesus’ teaching by understanding the “Oracles of God”
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:24.
