It has been said that there are 9 total masks (or images) that men hide behind. This is important because the masks hide the true nature of the Lord in you. Some include: the athletic mask, the know it all mask, and of course the stoic mask. They are a false image of what one presents before others to hide the true self. Unfortunately, this often is handed down to the next generation of young men who watch their male-role models adopt and hide behind a mask. Why hide? What are you trying to keep a secret? Why are you afraid to be vulnerable? Come out into the light and identify yourself in the image and likeness of the Lord.
