Two Cities: Bethsaida and Zippori. Bethsaida is a mere fishing village. Zippori is considered the “Jewel of the Galilee”—it is full of Universities, Gymnasiums and Theaters. They are only two miles away from one another but a world apart. Interestingly, Jesus chooses five of the disciples from the fishing village and zero from the major metropolis. What does this mystery have to say about the notion of being a disciple? Come this Sunday @10:00 and Pastor David will be teaching on what Jesus really meant when He said unto them from Bethsaida to “Follow Me.” What does it mean when he says to you. “Follow Me”?
“As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.”
Matthew 4:18-20
