The day has been known throughout the ages by many names: Rosh HaShannah, Jewish New Year, the Feast of Trumpets or simply a day off from school. In the Bible, it is referred to as the “Day of Shouting or the Day of the Alarm.” By understanding this Biblical Holiday through a New Testament perspective, one can better understand the Power of Grace. One can better understand the importance of reflection and the power of being written into the Book of Life.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
