Unity

One of the greatest heirlooms of our faith is the power of unity. One can determine its greatness due to the consistent attack on unity. Disunity plagues the nation through political division, race division and socio-economic conflict. Unfortunately, the Church has not been a good reflection of the unity which is to be found in Christ.

Unity is not a recommendation; it is a command by Jesus. So, why is it that there is disunity in the body of Messiah?

This week, Pastor David continues the sermon series on “The Art and Value of the Heirloom Seed.”
Let us learn from the ancient story of the Tower of Babel, and see how this story portrays the power of unity and also the power of disunity within the human spirit.

Unity with your brethren can only occur when one is unified in his/her mind, body and spirit.

“But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” Genesis 11: 5-7
