October 31, 1517 A.D. was the day German monk Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Electorate of Saxony, in the Holy Roman Empire.
This began the Protestant Reformation: A Protest against the Catholic Church.
At that time, Catholicism was the culture of Europe. To not comply was to go against the culture of the day. Luther Posted 95 grievances he had with the Catholic Church. He demanded reform, he reminded people salvation through grace. He spoke against the hierarchical leadership of institutions.
This Sunday is October 31. Do you comply with culture? Do you demand reform for yourself and your family?
This Sunday, Pastor David will be preaching “A Call for a New Reformation.”
“Abstain from every form of evil.” 1 Thessalonians 5:22
