The most frequent title given to Jesus in the Gospels is the Son of Man. Eighty-one times the term is used, and it appears to be the term that most enrages the Establishment. Son of Man in Biblical Hebrew can be translated as “people” or “person”. But here, in the Gospels, Jesus refers to himself as THE Son of Man—emphasizing The.
